Today is a bad day.I got news from my friend, who told me that we will have a war soon.He said all of us need to join the war, because the British General Edward Braddock used a loophole in a 1723 Virginia law which prohibited most African Americans from carrying firearms.This made an exception for those who lived on the frontier and had a license from a justice of the peace.This was also an exception for free black men who were in the militia.I hate it,I hate war.Now General Edward want me to go to the front to fight against the French.That's the worst news for me.

The worst day had come.Today is my first day in the army. Most of the soliders are African Americans.We got the news that we will go to attack the French Fort Duquesne.That's in the French territory.We knew that the French army were well trained and they had more modern weapons.Most of us are so fight afraid to against the French,we don't have the confidence and we don't believe we can beat the French.

Today we started to go to Fort Duquesne.We are secretly going into the French territory.The weather is terrible with rain.All of us are so cold, and some of us are getting sick.Our feet go through of water all the time. It is so painful and the mosquito attacked us.Everything is bad at here.

The first time we meet with the French army,we were suddenly attacked and all of us were not well prepared. We were shocked by their attack.We just ran and tried to find a safe place to hide.After a few hours,the French left. We regrouped and continued to walk to the Duquesne.

We arrived a place which is not far away from the fort Duquesne. I have been sended to check the Fort.I went to the fort.They are all well prepared. All the place have people guide.And i went into the fort, in there i saw many plantion. i never saw so many plant at one place, this place is so nice. And the house at there are full of franse style. That make my sick because i hate France. I went back to my army and told them about that. And my leaders now are talking about how to attack them.

Now i am running for my life. We loss the war and the general is dead,General Edward is dead. That's a big hit for us. We are so scared, and i quit the army and going back to my home.But i heard the news, the English afraid the African will attack them, because we have the weapons. So now i am in a mess.
